SPEAKING ILL OF MEN OF GOD.

I have discovered that people who do this, do it not out of love for the work of God but for personal gain (publicity) and to weaken the faith of others. They aren't doing and don't want others to do.

My father in the Lord, Pastor E.A. Adeboye said many years ago he wanted to organize a crusade and one of the church elders got angry and vehemently opposed it. The then G.O Pa Akindayomi asked Pastor Adeboye to go and beg the man. He thought why should I beg him for doing something that will expand the kingdom but he obeyed. A short while later, that same leader said he was going to hell and was looking for people to take along.

Christian leadership is not a bed of roses.

My first experience in Christian leadership was in the University. We did a lot of things back then, some not so wise. In those days we were so overwhelmed with burden that we prayed and fasted continually. Did we make mistakes, certainly. Were we called? Most assuredly. Were souls saved? Yes. Were men raised? A big YES. Some students focused on our flaws and missed God on campus, some others went to other fellowships/came to ours and moved on with God.

Today, all kinds of things are being said about men of God and painfully these things are being said majorly by so called Christians. Please know that several waves of criticisms will come and go but the kingdom of heaven will remain. Don't put yourself in trouble by being overzealous.

God has not called you to worship/serve Him in every ministry, there is a place that suits your personality, experiences and calling. Find it; stay there! Let me say this, if you can't find a ministry that you think is following the example of Christ and always have something to complain about, the problem is most likely you!

People complain about all kinds of things. The choir didn't sing well, they complain. The traffic control passes them another way, they complain. Even in the sermon, they look for errors and complain. The fact that you don't appreciate what a person is doing in Christ doesn't mean it's wrong. How many times have you asked God what the true position is? How many times have you prayed for those clearly in error to find repentance and grace to make amends.

Let me say this again, if you can't find a ministry where you are convinced God resides, there is a problem.

In conclusion, let's remember that we will give account of every word that we speak on the last day. Will you be justified by your words or condemned by them?

Jesus loves you.

MERCY

It’s pulpit rotation Sunday. The guest minister mounted the podium as the church stood with a resounding applause. From the fifth row where he was Oke noticed the deep tribal lines on Pastor Obayemi’s cheeks, and his missing tooth was revealed as he led a worship song. “Oh! Not again!” Oke retorted under his breathe. “When will they stop sending unlearned preachers to us?” He touched his jeans to feel his phone. “It’s going to be a long service.” He turned and moved towards the exit. As we he was about to step outside, he heard the interpreter’s booming voice “Today we will be praying some strong prayers.” Oke proceeded out of the auditorium; phone in hand, a smirk on his face. From the toilet where he stood examining his phone, he could hear the roar of praying people. He was pacing back and forth, staring at the marble walls. He began to ramble about the toilet. “No one is online, even my ‘goons’ will be in church now. This is unfair! I wish I could leave.” He st

KING SAUL: The Demand

After the death of Joshua and the elders of his generation, the children of Israel forgot the wonders, power and love of the Almighty God. They forsook the Living God and worshipped stone dead gods like the nations around them. They got into the anger book of God and were open to attacks by the enemy. They were sorely oppressed and they cried out. God remembered His promise and love towards Israel and He gave them JUDGES to deliver them out of oppression and to lead them back to righteousness. Thus began the era of the judges. Season after season the people returned to sin and God remained faithful in giving them judges. Years passed and the mantle of leadership fell on a prophet - Samuel. Samuel had a good reputation with God and the people. He judged the people in righteousness and wisdom. His tenure saw the Philistines subdued and cities restored to the Israelites. And there was peace in his days. The Demand Samuel grew old and made his sons judges. Unfortunately the sons of S

WAY MAKER.

GOD KNOWS YOUR FUTURE, But it's more than that; God determines your future. I saw the story of a man of wealth in the papers. There was an image of a fuel attendant on one side and that of a man smiling in affluence on the other. The man had risen from being a fuel attendant to owner of a viable oil company. I checked and I discovered his testimony wasn't peculiar, there are many more similar breakthroughs. Let us not make the mistake that some made in putting their experience, knowledge and exposure before the word of God. Years ago there was a famine in the city of Samaria (so tough that people began to exchange their children as food) and all policies failed. There was a total shutdown. The word of the Lord came one day that the famine would end the very next day and there would be surplus. It sounded incredulous and a high ranking officer said "even if God opened windows in heaven it wouldn't be." That was the end of him. God's word was fulfilled
