It has been said that one can see farther by sitting on the shoulders of great men. That was exactly the case with Lot. The story of Lot began to look promising the moment Terah his grandfather took him, Abraham (his uncle) and Sarah (Abraham's wife) out of Ur to Haran. Terah died in Haran. God spoke to Abraham and he was on the move to a land of promise. The defining moment of Lot's life finally came, he saw Abraham packing up to go to an unknown destination led only by the conviction that God had spoken to him and Lot decided to follow him.
