OPEN HEAVENS

Glory to God. It is day twelve already in this remarkable new year. There is a lot of promise for this year 2016 and it is certain that lovers of God will enjoy favours that will cause the world to envy them.

I want to thank you for your friendship and love in the previous year. Thank you for reading the stories, thank you for learning from them and thank you for your remarks.

This year there will be more great stories that will help shape a godly generation. All stories promise to be fresh. Mizpah Heights this 2016 will feature more of inspiring articles that will help lift our walk with God. We will be sharing the mind of Christ direct with you. May we find life in every post in Jesus name. Amen.

I want to encourage you to draw much more closer to God this year. The time of Jesus' coming is closer now than when we first believed. The pervasiveness around us may increase but we shouldn't be partakers of evil. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." -Luke 5:16. Let all your actions be for the glory of God. Represent Him well.

 My prayer for you is that this year 2016 will be a year of rewards for you. Everywhere you have laboured or are labouring you will receive rewards of great abundance and joy in Jesus name. Amen.

After the death of Joshua and the elders of his generation, the children of Israel forgot the wonders, power and love of the Almighty God. They forsook the Living God and worshipped stone dead gods like the nations around them. They got into the anger book of God and were open to attacks by the enemy. They were sorely oppressed and they cried out. God remembered His promise and love towards Israel and He gave them JUDGES to deliver them out of oppression and to lead them back to righteousness. Thus began the era of the judges. Season after season the people returned to sin and God remained faithful in giving them judges. Years passed and the mantle of leadership fell on a prophet - Samuel. Mistaken Identity

Nothing hurts more than when people take you to be something negative which you are not. If not handled properly it can dry the oil of motivation. Joseph had a DREAM but his brothers mistook him for a DREAMER. They said to one another, "...Behold, this dreamer cometh." (Genesis 37:19) Having a dream is NOT the same as being a dreamer. A dream is an appointment with destiny. A person who has a dream has an appointment that must be fulfilled. A dreamer is a person whose ideas and plans are not practical or based in reality. A dreamer is a joker. He talks about things he has no passion nor commitment to carry out. Joseph's brothers thought he was a dreamer. They were blinded by envy and driven by rage. They mistook their saviour for a serpent and tried to kill him, but God delivered Joseph out of their hands.
