LORD, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Happy New Year!

By now the sound of 'Fire crackers' would have reduced in your area as it has in mine. Everybody finally has to wake up to the reality of work; the holidays are over!

This is a new year, if anyone will get its full benefits, such a person must receive instructions from the Lord and follow it.

Instructions are the keys to the victory. Knowing the right thing to do and doing it correctly is the key to triumphant living.

At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, Mary told those men "Whatever He (Jesus) says you should do, do it."

Note two things before a miracle can happen from that encounter at the wedding:

1. There is an instruction that precedes whatever miracle you desire. At this wedding, it was simply "Fill the pots with water and then serve the people."

It looked like something ridiculous. It looked like it wasn't the answer but it was the solution they needed. Don't expect God's instructions to be reasonable; just wait on Him to hear Him.

2.There is an action that follows the instruction that will produce miracles. They did as Jesus said even though it wasn't reasonable and they got a miracle. Whatever He says, DO IT FAST!

So what is God saying? And what are you going to do about it?

3 Reasons Why You Need Jesus

1. There is an afterlife. Even people that do not believe in God have an unspoken assurance within them that there is an afterlife. In the afterlife there are two destinations, good (heaven) and bad (hell). Jesus is the ONLY way to the good part. 2. There is  war in this life. Everyone is at war! War within, war without, war amongst, war everywhere. The enemy (devil) that we wrestle knows he has limited time to wreck his havoc. Our enemy is relentless and brutal, he has no respect for positions and titles, he works wickedness everyday. The only name he fears is JESUS, you need Jesus to win every war, have rest, peace and lasting victory. 3. Spiritual Fulfilment. Human beings are mere branches to the Tree (God). No matter how hard we try to satisfy ourselves with other things, there is a deep ache in our hearts if we don't have a relationship with God. Jesus is the only fulfilling link to the Father. Jesus is our spiritual lifeblood. If we are ever going shed the spi...

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU COUNT MONEY?

Recently, I had to make a lot of cash lodgments at the bank, and I proceeded to arrange and count the notes. I counted the various currency notes like three times and sorted them accordingly. When I got to the bank, the teller went to work, and I wasn’t surprised that the count was perfectly correct. The confidence was because I had double-checked the notes; the margin for error was very slim. In our Christian walk, we mustn’t be overly bold about our right standing in Christ if we haven’t examined ourselves again and again. 2 Cor. 13:5b says, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves…” Test yourself! Are you standing, or are you just thinking that you are standing? When I counted the money the first time, I could have stopped, but I needed the certainty. I know that I am born again, but I need to examine my heart: is there something hidden there that shouldn’t be there? Once, I was speaking to a group of people, and the manner of my speech wasn’t in confo...

The Decision

Roads lead to different places; where are you headed? There was screaming, pulling and tugging. "Driver!" "Hey!" "Ho!" "Ha!" The bus became a whirligig, tires squeaked; body parts came over each other. Before I could think, I shouted, "Jesus! Jesus!" There was silence. Total silence. We stopped. Something, Someone, had calmed the storm. I made the decision that instant. When did you make your own decision? Picture courtesy of Spiritual Growth Keys
