APPOINTED TIME: Do Something!

"Faith without works is dead". Prayer without works is mere exercise.

The blessings of God are pronounced upon us in fellowship with Him (in prayers) but they are manifested when we work. The harvest will rotten in the field no matter how bountiful if the farmer does not go to reap it in. We all have a major role to play if our appointed time must come as it shall.

Yesterday we noted that anything we accept as the will of God will maintain its course. To produce a desirable change we must CRY OUT.

We must be aware of the fact that anchoring the release of the appointed time of our breakthrough on God alone is a pointer to a sense of irresponsibility. The appointed time will not materialize unless you DO SOMETHING.

Exodus 3 chronicles the conversion between God and Moses. God had heard the cry of the Isrealities and He purposed to send the man Moses. Note that every move of God on the earth is always tied to a human vessel. God will not literally come down to bring a change, He uses man. That is why you must prepare to DO SOMETHING.

After prayers have been answered many people debate with God like Moses did instead of doing what they should do. No matter how fervent a woman is in prayers she must exert energy to push out the baby on the day of delivery. Prayer can produce the strength but the woman needs to use the strength.

To pray fervently and go to sleep afterwards is a 'criminal offense' in the spirit realm. Such attitude portrays God as a liar. After prayers have been answered, blessings are release and work is the next to make it spring forth. Without making a conscious effort to work in God's direction we strangle the seed of prayer.

The purpose of crying out is to obtain heaven's support. When He hears, HE EXPECTS YOU TO ACT!

Consider this scripture about the miracle of wine in the wedding at Cana of Galilee: "His mother saith to the servants, whatsoever He saith unto you, do it" - John 2:5. They needed to do as they were told. Jesus literally did nothing, all He did was to give instructions and there was a miracle.

Instructions of what we must do comes when we cry out to God but if we refuse to carry out those instructions, we have cried in vain. This is the reason why many people are crying without result. They are doing nothing!

If you don't fill your pot with water, the miracle wine (appointed time) may remain elusive. It is time to stop giving excuses, stop fidgeting in fear, start believing, start working. When God has done His part (in giving you instructions), do yours (in working at it) to enjoy the miraculous.

NB: If you don't have the whole picture of what to do, start with the little that you perceive. Where you have no direction whatsoever, it is clear that you need to CRY OUT to God. When your cry reaches Him He will issue out INSTRUCTIONS no matter how little it seems.

DO SOMETHING NOW!

IF WE MUST BOAST

If we must boast, let us boast of the mercies of the LORD. Two students attend lectures and put in the same level of preparation; one scores an “A” and the other a “C”. Many explanations can be available, but when we hold all other things constant, mercy is the difference between men. I have written an exam before where I prepared diligently but got into the exam hall and misinterpreted the questions, writing the exact opposite of what was expected. After the exam, I had only one prayer: God, have mercy! In Acts 13, Paul and some other prophets separated themselves to fast and pray. Mercy spoke, and Paul and Barnabas were called into a special assignment. Were they better or more diligent than the others who were not called into that particular assignment? I don’t think so. Apostle Paul later told us that everything he did was a result of the grace of God. God’s mercy and grace are what enable us to achieve any kind of result in life. Let’s be careful how we think. Let’s be careful how...

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU COUNT MONEY?

Recently, I had to make a lot of cash lodgments at the bank, and I proceeded to arrange and count the notes. I counted the various currency notes like three times and sorted them accordingly. When I got to the bank, the teller went to work, and I wasn’t surprised that the count was perfectly correct. The confidence was because I had double-checked the notes; the margin for error was very slim. In our Christian walk, we mustn’t be overly bold about our right standing in Christ if we haven’t examined ourselves again and again. 2 Cor. 13:5b says, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves…” Test yourself! Are you standing, or are you just thinking that you are standing? When I counted the money the first time, I could have stopped, but I needed the certainty. I know that I am born again, but I need to examine my heart: is there something hidden there that shouldn’t be there? Once, I was speaking to a group of people, and the manner of my speech wasn’t in confo...

2025: A LANDMARK YEAR

Happy New Year! Welcome to a Landmark Year. By prophecy, by decree, and by the WORD OF GOD, this year is a landmark year. Get set to have landmark encounters with the LORD. There shall be landmark testimonies in our walk with the LORD and in the results that will show forth in our lives as a result of Christ in us. The promise of God is to reveal His mysteries to the world through us. We are engraced to carry hope, salvation, strength, and glory to the world. Colossians 1:27 says, " To them God willed to make known what are  the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:  which is  Christ in you,  the hope of glory." This year, Christ will be revealed in us and shine to all the world.
